The future is feminist.

This month, we’re introducing our new executive director Jamia Wilson and her bold vision for the future of Feminist Press.

Dear Friend,

Only a few weeks remain in 2017, a year that has levied stunning challenges upon the movements for gender equality, social justice, and freedom of expression.

But as you prepare to flip your calendar to 2018, our executive director Jamia Wilson has a motto to share with you: The Future Is Feminist. Jamia began her tenure here in July, bringing the strategic insight and forward-thinking ambition of a seasoned activist.

Under Jamia’s leadership, and with the help of our community, we at the Feminist Press are ready to get to work making her new year's motto—The Future Is Feminist—a reality.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about Jamia’s vision for the future of the press, and what she adds to FP’s feminist literary legacy as our organization nears its 50th year of operation.

For now, check out our brand-new video for a glimpse behind the scenes at the Press and a chance to hear Jamia reflect on her history as an FP reader, author, and leader. Click below to watch!

We’ve got big plans for building a more feminist future through literature, scholarship, art, and activism, and we’d love for you to join us. Your support makes our work possible—can we count on you to help us forge ahead into 2018 and beyond?

Feminist Press turned 47 years old this year! Give $47, $470, $1047, or any amount to support another 47 years of world-changing feminist lit.

With affection and gratitude,

The Feminist Press team
Jamia, Suki, Lucia, Alyea, Hannah, Lauren, Jisu, Sophia, Drew, and the FP Board of Directors
