The Feminist Press is deeply saddened to share that Sarah Weddington—the groundbreaking attorney who won the Roe v. Wade abortion case—has passed away. She was 76.

We are honored to be the publisher of Weddington’s memoir A Question Of Choice. In her book, Weddington shares the personal story behind that great legal challenge and traces how a group of attorneys, doctors, and pro-choice advocates—unsuspecting that their case would reach the Supreme Court—challenged Texas anti-abortion law, and fought the landmark case that forever changed the national conversation.

We are deeply grateful for Weddington’s commitment to reproductive justice and are honored to be her publisher.

About A QUESTION OF CHOICE:

"A milestone. . . . Here she recounts with clarity and fervor the remarkable story of how she, her husband and a few other lawyers, supported by a handful of doctors and pro-choice advocates, researched and prepared briefs invoking the 'right of privacy' defense as a main argument to challenge the Texas anti-abortion law." —Publishers Weekly
