Hey introverts and bookworms: this party's for you!

Dear Friends,

The Third Annual Non-Event Event is underway! For this stay-at-home, do-it-yourself gala, we invite you to support indie feminist publishing from the comfort of your own home. And the best part? You get to rub elbows with a coterie of the most captivating partygoers around!

Your fellow Non-Event Event attendees have some amazing stories to tell. Like Isabella, a small-town girl abruptly transformed into a prisoner of conscience in a Malaysian detention camp. And Okomo, a spirited girl from Equatorial Guinea rebelling against her community’s rigid gender norms.

Here's your chance to meet Ariel, a young mother battling patriarchy, poverty, and Freytag’s pyramid on a quest to raise her daughter right; Angie, a Detroit woman who travels to Lagos to investigate her sister’s mysterious death; and Amparo Dávila, the enigmatic Mexican author who shows up uninvited on a bureaucrat’s doorstep one dark and stormy night.

Yes, we’re talking about characters from our books, but that’s the joy of the Non-Event Event—YOU get to decide who to hang out with, be they fictional or flesh-and-blood! Grab a Feminist Press book (or a stack) and get ready to be dazzled by the witty repartee of your Non-Event Event companions.

Your donation helps us keep the party going! A gift of $25, $50, or $100 supports the publication of rarely-told and riveting stories from around the globe.

Love,

Your fellow bookworms at FP—Jamia, Jisu, Sophia, Drew, Lauren, Lucia, Hannah, Alyea, and Suki
