Feminist Press to receive Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award from NBCC

Feminist Press is honored to be the 2021 recipient of the Ivan Sandrof Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Sandrof Award, first awarded in 1982 and named after the co-founder and first president of the NBCC, is given annually to a person or institution that has made significant contributions to literary culture. Past recipients of the prize have included Toni Morrison, Margaret Atwood, Wendell Berry, Joyce Carol Oates, and Naomi Shihab Nye.

The Feminist Press is only the fifth institution to win the award, after the Library of America, PEN America, Dalkey Archive Press, and Arte Público Press.

Tickets are now available for the virtual ceremony on March 25.
