This September the Feminist Press lost our visionary founder, Florence Howe. Throughout her life, Florence was an educator, an editor, a writer, and a steadfast advocate for the Press and intersectional feminism. Today, we want to express our thanks for all the gifts that Florence shared with us—with the Feminist Press, with our authors and readers, and with the world. 

Florence, thank you for your bold and unwavering leadership. Your dedication, passion, and extraordinary vision made the Feminist Press what it is today: a strong literary community with a fierce commitment to creating a world where all people can recognize themselves in a book. You believed in the mission of the Press when few others did, and we strive to uphold your legacy by continuing this mission for years to come. 

Florence’s extraordinary life and work deserves to be honored by all of us, now and in the future. With your generous support, we can further her vision of publishing brave, necessary, and change-inspiring feminist literature.
